Description
Brescia, in Northern Italy, is known as the Leonessa d’Italia (Italian Lioness). The city center is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and its 3,200-year-old history can be enjoyed by wandering on its winding streets and splendid piazzas. The Castle of Brescia, or Castello di Brescia, also known as Falcone d'Italia ("falcon of Italy"), is a medieval fort on the Colle Cidneo (Cidneo Hill) that rises above the city. There archaeologists have discovered traces of a late Bronze Age (1200–500 BC) on the site.
