Description
The former cloister of the Carmelite monastery of Sant'Agata in Bergamo, Italy, was built between the end of the 15th and the beginning of the 16th centuries. The beautiful rectangular cloister is on two floors: the ground floor consists of a portico with arches.
In the eighteenth century the monastery entered a period of decay, and the premises were converted to apartments. In 1954 it was declared unfit for use and major restoration work began and continues.
