The New Cathedral (viewed from across the Tormes River) together with the Old Cathedral make up the two cathedrals of Salamanca, Spain. The two cathedrals are joined together on the same site. The New Cathedral was constructed between the 16th and 18th centuries in two styles: late Gothic and Baroque. The Old Cathedral was begun in the 12th century and completed in Romanesque/Gothic style in the 14th century.
