Description
An old wagon wheel leans against a weathered wall of the blacksmith shop in the Genesee Country Village and Museum a 19th-century living history museum covering more than 600 acres located in the small hamlet of Mumford, about 20 miles (32 km) from Rochester, New York. It is the largest living history museum in New York State and the third-largest in the United States. The property includes the historic village, laid out in the style of a small 19th-century village, with 68 restored and furnished buildings available to walk through, including mansions & homesteads, merchants & services, churches & schools, taverns & town halls, an art gallery, green spaces, a nature center, and miles of walking trails. The red berries in the image appear to be Bittersweet Nightshade, a plant that is toxic to people, pets and livestock.
