Colorful, renovated old warehouses line the waterfront in picture-perfect Ålesund. Situated atop Norway’s Western Fjord country the town is spread over several islands stretching into the Atlantic with the Sunnmøre Mountains as a backdrop. It has the most important fishing harbor in Norway, and is also famous for its Art Nouveau style architecture.
