This church is where all but seven of France's future kings have been crowned. One of the illustrious triad of "High Gothic" or "Classical" French cathedrals built in the 13th century, it was constructed between 1211—1345, the same period as Notre-Dame de Paris and Notre-Dame de Chartres.
