When wandering the back streets of Toledo Spain, the Catedral de Toledo is a landmark on many levels. An impressive example of medieval Gothic architecture, it is considered one of the top 10 cathedrals in Spain. A veritable art gallery of old masters, it contains works by Velázquez, Goya and El Greco. Its site has been a center of worship since the days of the Visagoths. During the Moorish period the Grand Mosque was located there.
