Description
The Uragh Stone Circle was erected during the Bronze Age (2000 – 200 BC), and is beautifully situated on a small hill between two lakes. It consists of a five stone circle with a huge, three m (10 ft) high, outlier nearby. It is in a remote location surrounded by a natural setting of volcanic mountains, lakes and waterfalls on the Northern shore of the Beara Peninsula. The Uragh Stone Circle is certainly one of the area’s most beautiful and mystical locations and the dramatic drive along the narrow meandering road to this remote spot adds an air of anticipation to the journey. This place is magical.
