Description
"Ladies' View" in Ireland is a magnificent view over the Upper Lake and Purple Mountain while traveling through Moll's Gap from Kenmare to Killarney on part of the Ring of Kerry. This viewpoint, 17km south of Killarney, was enjoyed by Queen Victoria's ladies-in-waiting in 1861. Moll's Gap is named after Moll Kissane, who ran an illegal brew-house while the Killarney-Kenmare road was under construction in the 1820s.
