With a picture-perfect harbour, a traditional Irish pub and fantastic views out across the water, Kilmackillogue is on the Ring of Beara just down the road from Dereen Gardens in Lauragh. The pub food at Teddy O’Sullivans is excellent, as the catch of the day is literally fresh off the boats that morning.
The Beara Peninsula straddles the border of Cork and Kerry in South-West Ireland. It is the next peninsula south of the Iveragh Peninsula home to the famous Ring of Kerry, but quieter & more relaxed. The Ring of Beara is less well known to tourists but visitors to this hidden gem will discover lush natural beauty, wild landscapes, and unspoiled seascapes. It is far less commercial and there are no tour-buses filled with tourists clogging up the tiny roads.
