Product Details

Our luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and feature incredible artwork on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. Looking for a recommendation? Go with a 60" x 80" plush fleece blanket. It's soft and luxurious on both sides... the artwork looks incredible... and the size is just right for everyone.

Artist's Description

Built between 1235 and 1365 the Église Saint-Martin in Colmar is the most important religious building in Colmar and one of the most significant Gothic buildings in the Haut-Rhin. Nestled among the vineyards of the Alsace region, the capital of the Alsace wine region, Colmar, is certainly the French Alsace's most beautiful city. It is a town founded in the 9th century, and yet still retains stunning medieval architecture and even its own “Little Venice”. Half-timbered, pastel-colored houses crowd narrow cobblestone lanes that criss-cross canals over flower-lined bridges. Though it was the last town in France to be liberated in WWII, it is now the capital of Alsatian wine.
The French sculptor Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi, (1834-1904) was born in Colmar. Of course, he is best known as creator of La Liberté éclairant le monde (Liberty Enlightening the World), or as we know it, the Statue of Liberty, as well as many other monumental sculptures in both France and the US.

About W Chris Fooshee

W Chris Fooshee

'The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.' ~ Marcel Proust, writer, Paris, 1871-1922. My photographs are not merely a record of what was before my camera, but rather my visualization of the place and time as I remember discovering it, be it a particular mood, impression, or ambiance. These images may bring back memories of your own travels or they might inspire, you in some small way to venture off and maybe discover exciting, new landscapes of your own. But in the meantime, consider placing one of these photographs on your wall as a window to foreign lands. A note to those who purchase one of my images, you have my deepest thanks. I am honored that you have chosen one of my photographs...
