Called the "Venice of the Alps",the French town of Annecy is a feast for the eyes. The crystal-clear River Thiou, that flows from Lake Annecy, the third-largest lake in France, passes through small canals that run through Old Town. These beautiful waterways are surrounded by colorful buildings and flowering balconies, with the Alps rising in the background.
